Conservatives have done a great job of convincing the masses that liberal ideas are bad for them. I strongly disagree.
Conservatism says to me, “I’m in power and I’m setting the rules to keep it that way.” To me, liberal means not looking at the short term, e.g., the next Quarterly Profit Report, no matter what the cost to the environment. But instead taking a long term view.
What’s best for future generations? Is it burning all the fossil fuels just so the people in power (conservatives) can make huge profits? Do we drive SUVs and contribute to global warming that will harm our future?
Liberals believe that sacrificing now for our future is a worthy goal. To me, conservatives are short-sighted, narrow-minded people! Let people suffer. That’s what religious people say (no stem cell research.) God would want people to suffer with these diseases.
