I was speaking with friends about this subject. We were very far apart. I asked, “Was Jesus conservative or liberal? Without hesitation they shouted, “Conservative!” Really? Jesus’ main idea was free health care for the sick and poor! Every conservative Christian I know is totally against this. Obamacare and even communism is in favor of health care for all. Liberals are in line with Jesus on this subject!
Another friend claimed that every country in history that turned liberal, went intodecline. I asked him for facts. He heard it on FOX, so it must be true! I asked him to name a specific country and he couldn’t. I explained the rise and fall of countries and species is the wave. The wave is quantum physics and controls everything in the universe!
Just as gays and straights are literally wired differently, left-handers and right-handers are too. I believe that liberals have different wiring in their brains than conservatives. I believe conservatism is the human natural state. Liberalism is an evolution in consciousness that allows the new mountain of insight and knowledge to be assimilated. Your brain is like your muscles. You work out your muscles and they grow. You stop working out and they atrophy. Your brain actually forms new connections when you learn new ideas. These connections shrink when not used! Conservatism says, “I have things the way I want them and I don’t want change.” The meek shall inherit the earth and that’s good enough for me. In a world without ice ages, asteroids, mass extinctions and plagues; that might be acceptable. The world has been dominated by conservatism throughout history. When a revolutionary thinker like Galileo came along and told the Catholic church they were wrong about the earth being the center of everything, he was put under house arrest for the remainder of his life! Why? Because he proved the church was not infallible. This threatened their power. They reacted as they always have, by disseminating propaganda to discredit their detractors. (Think FOX news.)
