Christians support Israel in this conflict, because they mistakenly believe that Jesus is a God and he walked on this ground 2000 years ago. In fact, all three religions believe Jesus was a prophet or a God. Let’s examine Jesus for a minute. Did Jesus or any of his disciples ever mention the aborigines of Australia, the Incas of Peru or the people of Africa's Great Rift Valley where we all came from? No they didn’t. Apparently, they weren’t God’s chosen people. What does this mean? Did he not create them? No, the truth is Jesus and his followers thought the world was flat and only knew of the Mediterranean area.
Each side falsely believes it can win. Just as in sports, every year each team starts thinking they have the chance to win. I’m sure that Condelezza Rice, Secretary of State, thought eight years ago that she would be able to help solve this age-old problem of the Arab-Israeli conflict. History has shown again that is a false idea, based on that false assumption.
Diplomacy or guns will never solve this problem, because the minds of the radical Arabs and Israelis will be damaged by these violent tendencies irreparably for generations to come. Therefore, they cannot see the truth. With the study of genetics, and now more importantly, epigenetics; it is now provable that just as musical characteristics are passed down from generation to generation, violent tendencies are also inherited. The new field of epigenetics shows how the brain can be physically altered by violence. Violence begets violence. Every human that dies in this madness is dying over an ideal that is false! This is reality when they reject this knowledge (Like I know they will.) The Arabs and Israelis are nothing but mass murderers.
The Israelis should cede the territory back to the Arabs, all of it. Because they’re only fighting over blood-soaked sand. The Israelis can disperse back across the planet from whence they came. I say this because the Israelis seem to be a somewhat saner group than the radical Islamic Arabs. The very idea of “gaining paradise and 73 virgins” for killing innocent people is the most insane concept I’ve ever heard of! They would rather see the end of civilization than give up their false ideas. The Israelis, being the more educated of the two sides should accept this and leave! That will stop the slaughter. They are only fighting over a false idea and blood-soaked sand! Is this worth the killing of innocent children now and in the future? This will not end until reality is learned. Ask yourself would “God” want the killing to continue because that is what is going to happen far into the future.
To the incoming Obama/Clinton administration: Walk away from this failed experiment, and come to the understanding of the truth. Armageddon was not written about the future. It was about circumstances in biblical times, and has nothing to do with the present. This is the only way you’ll ever solve this problem.
To the radical Arabs and Israelis: Heed this warning or keep slaughtering each other for the next 2000 years over a God that doesn’t exist. If you believe in the Old Testament and the ten commandments, remember “Thou shall not kill” means just that. It’s not okay to kill sometimes. It’s never okay to kill. An “eye for and eye” or “thou shall not kill.” Which is it? If there is a God and a Hell; that’s where you are all going for the mass murder of each other.
What really happened: The U.N. gave part of Mandate Palestine (Israel, Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza) to the Jewish people so they could establish a “homeland.” The native Arabs were angry that their ancestral land was being divided up and part of it was given to Israel. The Arab nations retaliated. Israel was able to push them back and annex (steal) more land. Despite numerous U.N. directives to return it, they refused to do so. The refugee Palestinians retaliated with home-made missiles. Israel, with the help of the US, responded with far superior technology such as fighter jets, sophisticated missiles, tanks, personnel carriers, etc. Palestine has none of these. Might does not make right. It’s a modern David vs. Goliath story in reverse. If you think the Jewish population should stay in Israel, you are promoting principal over human life.
History:
The Israelis, Muslims, Hamas and Gush Emunim all claim they are the rightful owners of the territory of Israel. The Jewish people claim it because it is their homeland as promised to them by God, according to the Torah. Muslims claim it because it contains religious sites such as the Dome of the Rock and The Cave of the Patriarchs. The Pan-Arab movement says it’s Muslim land belongs to the Palestinians (of any religion.)
The Ottomans ruled this area from the 1400s until World War I ended in 1918. The Arab Israeli conflict started in the 1800s, when European Jews began purchasing land from the Ottomans and immigrating to this Arab-occupied area. The native Arabs resented the growing, immigrant Jewish population. This discord escalated into the vicious cycle of violence that continues to this day.
In 1917, three years after World War I started, Britain declared it would create a Jewish homeland out of a part of Palestine. When the war ended in 1918, Mandate Palestine (Israel, Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza) came under British rule. The swelling, immigrant Jewish population purchased more land and discriminated against the native Arabs by prohibiting them from working in Jewish-owned industries. The Palestinian Arabs, angry about Britain’s preferential treatment towards the Jewish population, fought back. This led to the 1929 Hebron Massacre where Arabs murdered 67 Jews, and the 1936-1939 Arab revolt in Palestine. Responding to Arab pressure in 1939, the British greatly reduced the number of Jews allowed to immigrate to Palestine. But they continued to do so illegally.
In 1947 the U.N. partitioned the territory into separate areas for the Jews and the Arabs, creating the Jewish homeland as promised by the British in 1917. The native Arabs rejected this partitioning of their homeland to create a Jewish “State of Israel”, and began discriminating against their local Jewish population. Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Iraq invaded the partitioned territory; starting the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
The Israelis fought back, and illegally extended its borders beyond the area the U.N. gave them. By December 1948, Israel controlled most of the portion of Mandate Palestine west of the Jordan River. The remainder of the Mandate consisted of Jordan (the West Bank that is controlled by Jordan), and the Gaza Strip (controlled by Egypt). Due to atrocities committed by the Israeli force, 711,000 Palestinian Arabs fled their original lands to become Palestinian refugees.
The 1949 Armistice Agreements between Israel and each of its Arab neighbors ended this war. This 1949 armistice line (the green line) is to this day the internationally-recognized border of the state of Israel. But Israel again began seizing land that was not given to them by the U.N., and has ignored numerous U.N. directives to return it.
In 2005 Israel agreed to end its illegal occupation of the Gaza Strip. Differences between Hamas and Fatah factions led to a bloody coup, leaving Hamas in undisputed control of Gaza.. As a result, Israel sealed its border to Gaza, cutting-off Hamas humanitarian supplies. The Hamas retaliated with homemade rocket launchers. Israel responded with bombs.
In August 2008, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice criticized Israel’s increased settlement construction in the disputed territory of the West Bank as detrimental to the peace process. In December 2008, Israel launched Operation Cast Lead, a massive aerial assault and subsequent land invasion, against Hamas, beginning a major battle in Gaza.
Every person we meet should be the source of a new exchange of values and ideas, without the fear of religious or nationalistic notions interfering with the meeting.
